Job description

Start your career within NOV and join us as an Apprentice CNC Machinist.

You will use your existing mathematical and technical knowledge as a foundation to build and develop skills critical to becoming a well-trained, experienced and key member of our Glenrothes manufacturing team. As an NOV Apprentice, you will develop a strong understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC Turning, CNC Milling, CNC Horizontal Boring, and CNC Programming. You will become part of a global business that has the people capabilities and vision to serve the needs of a challenging Energy sector.

Your hands-on academic training plan is where learning and development really begins. You will take part in a 4-year training plan where NOV will monitor your progress, supporting and guiding you to become a successful and first-class CNC Machinist.

Main duties/Responsibilities:

• Learn the skills required from highly experienced and motivated mentor
• Attend college as required
• Complete all logbooks and assessments in a timely manner
• Report any environmental or health and safety issues that arise
• Assist colleagues as required
• Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and company policies
• Follow all 5S and LEAN principles with respect to a manufacturing environment

What you’ll need:

The successful candidate must have a minimum of three 5-level qualifications at grade C or above, with two of these qualifications in the subjects of English and Maths.
