To be successful in the role, you’ll have previous experience in leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment. You’ll champion our mission and values to create our Starbucks experience for our customers and partners. You’ll understand your market, get to know the competition, and identify opportunities to drive store profitability and your business forward. You’ll be an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring our partners feel they belong.

About

The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! As a store leader, working in one of our dynamic stores, you’ll set the example and lead from the front on shift. A typical day could include:

  1. Executing store operations through your team, on your scheduled shifts and days off, ensuring coverage for opening, closing, and weekends by yourself and your partners.
  2. Analyzing data and leveraging store observations to inform decision-making that improves customer experience and overall store performance.
  3. Working with your store leaders to use forecasting and scheduling tools to manage labor within budgets and recruiting diverse, talented partners to meet store needs.
  4. Cascading and implementing new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive business results.
  5. Supporting partner growth through performance management, coaching, and building positive relationships to understand their challenges, needs, and aspirations.
  6. Setting challenging yet achievable goals to drive engagement and improve partner performance.

Given our store operations, working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.

All retail partners start with an introductory training program led by in-store trainers and coaches, immersing them in Starbucks culture and setting them up for success. These programs are delivered in-store and support on-the-job learning with managerial guidance.
