As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Finance Technology team, you will be part of an agile team that enhances, designs, and delivers software components of the firm's technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will execute software solutions through design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple components within a product, gaining valuable skills for career growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solutions, including design, development, and troubleshooting
• Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• Utilize tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to improve automation and value
• Apply technical troubleshooting skills to resolve basic complexity problems
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify issues and inform decision-making for secure, stable application development
• Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure, stable code and systems
• Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and practical experience
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience coding in one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages in a large corporate environment
• Ability to demonstrate coding skills in at least one language
• Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile)

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies
• Knowledge of SQL is advantageous
