Software Engineer

Salary: up to £35k

Role: A leading client onboarding and case management platform experiencing growth, seeking engineers with a versatile skill set to contribute across the entire development pipeline. The environment promotes high-quality, innovative features, individual ownership, and collaboration.

Our solution caters to legal services within the evolving legal tech space, aiming to provide cutting-edge solutions. We value learning, adaptability, and proactive contribution from our engineers. Independence in managing projects end-to-end and ownership of work are essential qualities.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Research, plan, design, and deliver features aligned with product roadmaps or client requests
• Manage feature delivery independently, ensuring quality and deadlines
• Collaborate with clients to develop bespoke solutions
• Support team members utilizing your strengths
• Maintain and improve internal code standards
• Utilize various cloud and third-party services
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Respond to client queries and provide technical support

Our stack includes an end-to-end TypeScript monorepo, a Vue client app with Firebase backend, and various micro-services and third-party providers. We encourage research, learning, and implementation of new technologies, including AI tools, to enhance productivity.

Performance is measured by output quality, client satisfaction, feature excellence, value addition, and user experience improvements.

We operate in a fully remote environment with flexible hours, requiring availability during UK office hours.

Experience Required:

• 2-5 years of professional engineering experience, preferably in startups, SaaS, or fast-paced product environments
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with Vue.js 2
• Knowledge of Firebase Functions & Firestore, AWS, and Figma

Technical Skills:

• Strong foundation in TypeScript
• Experience with Firebase or similar cloud/backend technologies (Node.js, Express, Lambda, Azure Functions)
• Comfortable with major frontend frameworks (Vue2 preferred, React, Angular acceptable)
