Software Engineer

Salary: up to £35k

Team: Joining a team of 7 developers

Role: A leading client onboarding and case management platform experiencing growth, seeking software engineers with a versatile skill set to contribute across the entire development pipeline. Engineers are expected to push the boundaries of high-quality features, fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.

The platform is an evolving legal tech solution, aiming to provide innovative services within the legal industry. The team values learning, adaptability, and proactive contribution from day one. Candidates should thrive in independent project management, taking full ownership and supporting product growth.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Research, plan, design, and deliver features based on product roadmaps or client requests
• Manage feature delivery independently, ensuring quality and deadlines
• Collaborate with clients for bespoke solutions
• Support team members utilizing your strengths
• Improve internal code standards
• Utilize cloud services and third-party integrations
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Respond to client queries and provide technical support

The tech stack includes an end-to-end TypeScript monorepo, a Vue client application, Firebase backend, and various micro-services and third-party providers. The team is encouraged to explore new technologies and modern tooling, including AI, to enhance productivity and innovation. Performance is measured by output, client satisfaction, feature quality, and added value.

Remote work is fully embraced with flexible hours, requiring UK timezone availability.

Technical Strengths:

• Strong foundation in TypeScript
• Experience with cloud platforms like Firebase or similar, or backend TypeScript (Node.js, Express, Lambda, etc.)
• Comfortable with at least one major frontend framework (Vue2 preferred, React, Angular acceptable)
