Senior Software Engineer - TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, IDAM/IAM, MFA, REST APIs, Investment Management - Central Manchester

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer skilled in TypeScript and Node.js development on AWS to join a global Investment Manager's Security Architecture and Engineering team, specifically within Cybersecurity Engineering. This team manages Client Authentication services for their retail investment platform, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Passkeys.

As a Senior Engineer, you will work within a multi-functional agile squad to develop and enhance cloud-based cybersecurity services. Your work will focus on increasing platform security and resilience, improving user experience, and supporting a pipeline of projects into 2026 and beyond.

You should demonstrate:

1. Strong hands-on coding skills with TypeScript and Node.js
2. Deep understanding and experience with cloud engineering on AWS
3. Experience with backend development in Python is a plus
4. Previous experience in security engineering and architecture is highly advantageous
5. Knowledge of customer identity and access management (IDAM) tools such as Ping is useful
6. Experience in finance is beneficial but not essential
