Senior Software Engineer – TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, IDAM/IAM, MFA, Ping Identity, REST APIs, Investment Management – Central Manchester

A global Investment Manager is seeking a Senior Engineer skilled in TypeScript and Node.js development on AWS to join their Security Architecture and Engineering team, specifically within Cybersecurity Engineering. This team manages the Client Authentication services for their retail investment platform, focusing on multi-factor authentication (MFA), Passkeys, and related security features.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be part of a multi-functional agile squad, contributing to the development and enhancement of cloud-based cybersecurity services. Your work will involve creating new capabilities to improve platform security and resilience, as well as developing user-friendly functionalities, with ongoing projects planned into 2026 and beyond.

Key qualifications include:

• Strong hands-on coding skills with TypeScript and Node.js
• Deep understanding and experience of cloud engineering on AWS
• Backend development experience in Python is a plus
• Previous experience in security engineering and architecture is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of customer IDAM tools such as Ping Identity is beneficial
• Experience in finance is helpful but not essential
