Responsible SME (Subject Matter Expert) to ensure compliance of the metal detectors, check-weighers, and Automated Date Coding System (Auto-coding). The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the flexibility to accommodate occasional out-of-hours requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage compliance with customer codes of practice, BRC standards, and legislation regarding weight compliance, metal detection, and Auto-coding systems.
2. Complete daily tasks for weight, metal detection, and auto-coding compliance.
3. Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly process reports.
4. Oversee the completion of protocols for new product launches.
5. Communicate accurately with management, suppliers, and customers in verbal and written formats.
6. Conduct investigations and implement preventative corrective actions.
7. Calibrate metal detectors, checkweighers, scales, and auto-coding equipment.
8. Lead customer visits and audits related to metal detection and check weighing.
9. Manage training within the production team to ensure compliance, mentoring and coaching staff as needed.
10. Contribute to fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and doing the right thing in all interactions.
11. Ensure Food Safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience within food manufacturing.
• Food Safety Level 2 certification.
• Knowledge of metal detection and check weighing equipment.
• Qualification in Internal Auditing Level 2.
• Experience working to deadlines.
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with staff at all levels within the business.
