Job summary

Thalia Waste Management is seeking an EC&I Technician to support the Lead EC&I Engineer in maintaining electrical, control and instrumentation systems across Allerton Waste Recovery Park. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, work to safe systems of work, and help deliver KPI targets within the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship to NVQ or equivalent level 3.
• Electrical HNC – Desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and rectifying problems on electrical, control and instrumentation equipment.
• Be responsible for PPM and Reactive maintenance work, ensuring the highest standards are set and maintained.
• Manage delegated plant area of the Site inclusive of planned outage work and PPMs.
• Ensure all client requirements are met and satisfied.
• Assist with and actively participate in planned outages.
• Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
• Complete accurate maintenance reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Assist the Lead EC&I Engineer with critical spares ordering.
• Participate in team briefings and toolbox talks.
• Work safely and efficiently to the site safety rules, under a safe system of work.
• Ensure compliance with appropriate Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
• Develop and implement engineering procedures, instructions, method statements, risk assessments and guidance documents.
