Job summary

Veolia Group at Chilton Power Station is seeking an EC&I Technician to drive repairs, calibration and planned/breakdown maintenance on diverse plant and EC&I equipment. You will monitor emissions, work with PLC/DCS systems and ensure accurate record keeping using the Asset Management System.

The ideal candidate has an apprenticeship with an HNC or equivalent, at least three years in a continuous process environment, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completed and HNC or equivalent in engineering.
• Knowledge of maintenance techniques with control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic transducers and instrumentation.
• Experience of at least 3 years in a continuous process industry.
• Strong communication and self-motivation; able to work with minimum supervision and flexible problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, calibration and maintenance on plant and apparatus including process monitoring transducers, automated equipment, emissions monitoring equipment and PLC/DCS systems.
• Maintain records of EC&I equipment and system maintenance and calibration using Asset Management System.
• Report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing improvements where appropriate.
• Propose and develop modifications to plant and apparatus as appropriate.
• Liaise with operations staff and other maintenance staff as required.
