Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection's Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre is seeking a Control & Electrical Engineering Technician to keep a large site safe, reliable and efficient. You will perform planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance on control, instrumentation and electrical equipment, following Safe Systems of Work.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will use SAP/CMMS, interpret drawings, and work with operations and contractors to improve reliability and plant performance.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained in Control, Electrical or Instrumentation with hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of control, instrumentation and electrical systems and maintenance practices.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety and related regulations.
• Experience with SAP or CMMS and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned, preventive, routine and breakdown maintenance on control, instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose faults, calibrate instruments and implement first-line fixes to recurring defects.
• Interpret schematics, drawings, manuals and standards to support testing and installation activities.
• Support plant reliability, improvements and hazard analyses with engineers and operations teams.
• Maintain records in SAP/CMMS and coordinate safe, efficient work with contractors.
