Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection in Huddersfield is seeking an HV Technician to join the Engineering team at our Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre. You will operate and fault-find on HV/LV distribution assets across a large site, ensuring safe continuity of supply and compliance with regulatory standards.

The role reports to the Electrical Supervisor/Planner and involves planning, testing, and working with contractors to maintain reliability, safety and performance of 33 kV, 11 kV, 3.3 kV and 415 V

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience with HV distribution or strong LV maintenance background with HV potential.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification with SAP/City & Guilds accreditation.
• Experience with 11 kV networks, switchgear, transformers and protection relays.

Responsibilities

• Act as Senior Authorised Person and manage switching programmes for planned, operational and emergency work.
• Maintain, inspect, test and fault-find HV/LV distribution systems and equipment.
• Plan and coordinate planned and preventative maintenance to meet safety and compliance requirements.
• Issue and control electrical safety documentation and maintain audit-ready records.
