Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Control & Instrumentation Technician to join an established industrial operation in East Sussex within a COMAH environment. You will perform maintenance, calibration, testing and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

Working with a proactive safety culture, you will diagnose faults, record activities in CMMS, and adhere to permit-to-work and MOC processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment in a COMAH or high-hazard environment.
• Proven fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, calibration, testing, and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose faults and ensure timely resolution to maintain plant performance and availability.
• Complete all work in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Use CMMS systems to manage and record maintenance activities.
• Install, inspect, and maintain plant equipment to high standards and within timescales.
• Identify and report defects, alarms, and unsafe conditions; isolate when required.
• Follow permit-to-work and change management procedures (MOC).
• Support shutdown planning and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance plant performance and reliability.
