Job summary
Amentum is seeking an EC&I Hardware Designer to deliver complex control and automation hardware for nuclear-related projects. You will design enclosures, panels and interface systems within a multidisciplinary team, from concept through manufacture and installation.
Key tasks include creating AutoCAD drawings, assembling I/O schedules, and performing cable routing, power and heat calculations to meet safety-critical requirements. Hybrid working and career growth are emphasized.
Qualifications
- Solid experience using AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting.
- Experience delivering EC&I hardware design within engineering projects.
- Designs include electrical enclosures, control panels, MCCs and interfaces.
- Knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations and CDM Regulations required.
- Strong wiring/layout skills and system integration understanding.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical enclosures, control panels and interfaces.
- Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings and design packages.
- Develop assemblies, I/O schedules and cable routing plans.
- Perform power/heat calculations and documentation for manufacture.
- Support design reviews, site visits and QA records.
