Job summary

Amentum is seeking an EC&I Hardware Designer to deliver complex control and automation hardware for safety-critical nuclear sector projects. You will design enclosures, panels, and interface systems, producing AutoCAD drawings and design packages from concept to manufacture.

Qualifications

Experience in EC&I hardware design within engineering projects.
Experience delivering in safety-critical nuclear or regulated industries.
Familiarity with BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
Ability to carry out cable routing, layout and panel design tasks.
Degree/HNC in Electrical / EC&I Engineering.

Responsibilities

Design electrical enclosures, control panels, and interface systems.
Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings and design packages.
Support design reviews, site visits and engineering assessments.
Create test specifications, installation method statements and quality records.
Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
