Job summary

Babcock's Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering Graduate Programme is based in Devonport, Plymouth. It offers two-year rotations across EC&I Design, Design Authority and Operations, with a path to a permanent EC&I Engineer role at Devonport.

The programme starts September 2027, with a minimum salary of £35,000 and placements on-site at Devonport. Support for security clearances and a structured development plan is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Electrical/Control/Instrumentation focused education required.
• Clearance requirements may apply (BPSS/SC/NNPI) per GOV.UK guidance.

Responsibilities

• Join EC&I Engineering Graduate Programme and design/maintain EC&I systems for ships and facilities.
• Rotate through EC&I Design, Design Authority and Operational Support across Devonport.
• Develop proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Amtech and Dialux/Relux.
