Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment recruits for a EC&I Engineer role in Winsford. You’ll maintain, fault-find and repair electrical, control and instrumentation systems across the site, working with motors, drives, PLC-based equipment and SCADA/HMI systems.

You’ll calibrate instrumentation, support commissioning, loop checks and reliability improvements, and document work through the CMMS while following LOTOTO procedures. A Level 3 apprenticeship/NVQ and 18th Edition are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 apprenticeship/NVQ in Electrical, Instrumentation or Automation.
  • 18th Edition plus experience with PLCs/SCADA.
  • Strong industrial electrical fault-finding background.
  • Instrumentation knowledge and confidence using calibration/test equipment.
  • Mitsubishi PLC experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, fault‑find and repair electrical, control and instrumentation systems across the site.
  • Work with motors, drives, control panels, PLC‑based equipment and SCADA/HMI systems.
  • Calibrate, test and verify instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, level, weighers and analytical devices.
  • Support commissioning activities, loop checks, PID tuning and reliability improvements.
  • Record all work through the CMMS and operate safely under permits and LOTOTO procedures.

The Role
