Orion Electrotech Midlands is seeking an experienced EC&I Engineer or ECIA Engineer to join our project delivery team. You will manage EC&I design from concept through commissioning on complex industrial projects, coordinating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors in regulated environments.

The role entails producing schedules, specifications, URS, and technical documentation, plus supporting procurement, FATs, site visits and commissioning.

Formación

• Qualified in Electrical, Controls or Instrumentation Engineering through apprenticeship, HNC/HND, BTEC, degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience on process, utilities, water, chemical, nuclear, oil & gas, process industry, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Take responsibility for EC&I design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce electrical and instrumentation schedules, specifications and technical documentation.
• Develop control system requirements and user requirement specifications (URS).
• Review and approve subcontractor designs, drawings and submissions.
• Support procurement activities with technical input and supplier evaluations.
• Conduct FAT and equipment inspections for switchboard, MCC and PLC/HMI software.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning and attend client meetings.
