Orion Electrotech - Midlands is seeking an experienced EC&I Engineer or ECIA Engineer to join our project delivery team. You will own EC&I design activities from concept through commissioning on complex industrial infrastructure projects, interfacing with clients, suppliers and site teams.

Hybrid working is offered with site visits, tender support, FATs and installations while upholding safety and quality standards.

Formación

• Qualified in Electrical, Controls or Instrumentation Engineering through apprenticeship, HNC/HND, BTEC, degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in process, utilities, water, chemical, nuclear, oil & gas, process industry, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation and control systems.
• Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a project environment.

Responsabilidades

• Take responsibility for EC&I design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce electrical and instrumentation schedules, specifications and technical documentation.
• Develop control system requirements and URS.
• Review and approve subcontractor designs, drawings and submissions.
• Support procurement activities with technical evaluations and supplier selection.
• Conduct FATs and equipment inspections for switchboards, MCCs and PLC/HMI software.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning and attend client/project meetings.
