Job summary

PBSC UK designs and manufactures bespoke cleanroom and high-containment systems and seeks an EC&I / Automation Engineer to join its growing team. The role supports development from initial design through testing and commissioning, collaborating with mechanical, electrical and project engineers.

The successful candidate will contribute to PLC programming, HMI work, electrical design, and technical documentation, whilst gaining experience across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Degree/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or a related discipline.
Interest in industrial automation and control systems.
Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
PLC programming experience (Rockwell, Siemens, or similar)

Responsibilities

PLC programming and automation development (Rockwell / Siemens)
HMI configuration and development
Electrical design and control panel support
Producing electrical drawings and technical documentation
Testing, commissioning, and fault finding
Supporting customer projects and internal engineering improvements
Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver bespoke solutions
