Job summary

Noel Baker Academy is seeking a dedicated EBSA Intervention Lead to join the Learning Support Team. You will support pupils’ attendance, engagement and wellbeing, under the SENCO’s direction, delivering targeted interventions and contributing to reintegration planning.

You will work with staff, families and external agencies to ensure effective support for pupils facing emotional barriers to learning, while maintaining accurate records and safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• GCSE pass level in English/literacy and maths/numeracy or equivalent experience.
• Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, Education or equivalent.
• Experience in an educational setting or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with attendance, anxiety, emotional wellbeing, SEND or additional needs.
• Knowledge of EBSA, safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify barriers to attendance and engagement and deliver targeted interventions.
• Provide in-class and pastoral support to pupils, supporting reintegration planning.
• Maintain accurate records on attendance, interventions and pupil progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents/carers and external agencies to support pupil welfare and attendance.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate individual and small-group interventions.
• Support pupils experiencing anxiety or distress and promote emotional resilience.
