Job summary

We are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to work with the Urology Oncology team and who shares our vision to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

This exciting role will give you the opportunity to contribute to the specialist care and management of patients, who are receiving treatment within East and North Herts NHS Trust.

You will gain valuable insight into supporting patients at diagnosis and throughout the cancer pathway, including during and after treatment, and when disease recurs or progresses.

Main duties of the job
  1. You will work as part of the CNS team and have previous oncology experience.
  2. You will work closely with Clinical Oncologists and the wider MDT.
  3. Act as a key worker for patients.
  4. Provide specialist knowledge and support to patients by phone or in person during clinic visits.
  5. Act as liaison when required.
  6. Carry out holistic needs assessments with patients at specific points in their journey.
  7. Manage an independent workload.
