Job Summary:

The Technical Author will document all automotive functional safety work products and safety processes, working closely with the Functional Safety team. Responsibilities include managing documentation plans and control across product development, production-related documentation, test documentation, and customer documents. The role supports delivering high-quality products within the autonomous and robotic driving portfolio.

Responsibilities:

1. Derive project documentation from concept to product ramp-up in collaboration with the team.
2. Ensure traceability and trackability of documents and their content.
3. Coordinate with project managers and marketing teams regarding customer documentation requirements.
4. Write safety manuals, datasheets, work instructions, and project templates.
5. Review safety documentation against safety checklists from the functional safety team.
6. Release safety work products for review and approval within company systems.
7. Collaborate with the functional safety team to prepare confirmation review reports, product safety release reports, and ensure compliance with ISO26262 and related standards.
8. Assist Functional Safety Managers and safety authorities in meeting ISO26262 documentation requirements, including support for reviews and audits.
9. Manage deviations and promote continuous improvement in project and product documentation processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
• 3-5 years of professional technical authorship experience in automotive systems and components; experience in life sciences, aviation, robotics, or medical safety engineering is also relevant.
• Experience in product development and documentation.
