Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Working within a product development team on hardware products and security solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining electronic hardware for custom-designed security products to meet partner needs.
  • Modifying existing designs and collaborating on new product/system designs.
  • Receiving training and support for professional development, including external courses and research opportunities.

More About You

To qualify, you should have:

  • Experience in design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential qualifications include:

  • Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant degree (2:2 or higher).
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture, PCB design, RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

You will be involved in the full product development cycle, designing and documenting electronic PCB systems, supporting products, investigating defects, and contributing to project planning and library management.
