Job Description:

This rewarding role involves supporting Stations, Safety, and the Programme directorate team alongside the HR Business Partner.

You will deliver proactive and professional HR support to empower the HR Business Partner team in driving impactful HR solutions, bringing the people strategy to life for the organizations we support. The role will also support the New Street Station, a busy station with about 35.3 million passenger entries and exits. It is vital to find the right candidate to support with ad hoc administrative and operational HR activities.

We seek someone with strong communication skills, particularly experience in detailed reporting and analysis. The candidate should use their initiative to suggest improvements to current processes that support our Stations, Safety, and the Programme directorate team. Knowledge of Employee Relations, HR processes, and policies is desirable.

About the role (External):

As a Human Resource Business Partner Support, you will:

  1. Provide proactive, professional HR support to the HR Business Partner teams and the business to facilitate value-added HR and the delivery of people/HR plans.
  2. Support HR Business Partner teams in Talent Management, Workforce and Succession Planning, and performance planning, maintaining appropriate data.
  3. Support Organisation Change programmes through development and implementation phases.
  4. Provide project management support, tracking, measuring, and communicating project timelines.
  5. Assist with research, reporting, analysis, and production of reports to support HR initiatives.
  6. Identify and develop solutions to improve HR support to the business.
  7. Maintain up-to-date professional HR knowledge to contribute to operational and value-added HR initiatives.
  8. Own the delivery of work within HR programmes/initiatives.
  9. Support ad hoc administrative and operational HR activities.
Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • Experience in a large, complex, and fast-moving organization.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Proficient in IT, with strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in event coordination and facilitation.
  • Research and analytical skills.
  • Experience supporting HR initiatives and projects.

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualification or relevant HR support experience.
