The University of Manchester seeks to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Globalisation, Trade and Development within the Global Development Institute (GDI). This three-year fixed-term post aims to enhance teaching and research in globalisation, trade, and development.
The GDI has advanced research in global development topics such as global value chains, trade, supply chain governance, and labor conditions. Applications are encouraged from qualified candidates in all areas of globalisation, trade, and development, especially those focusing on gender issues within global value chains. The role involves delivering postgraduate teaching, supporting students at various levels, engaging in research, policy work, and supervising doctoral candidates.
The successful candidate will contribute to research and teaching, join the GDI’s research groups, and collaborate across departments. Applicants should have a PhD relevant to development studies, evidence of excellent teaching, a strong research record, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
