Responsibilities

Ansty Park is a state-of-the-art facility, and this is an opportunity that would suit an individual that is looking to work in a rewarding, fast-paced and team focused organisation.

Role Summary

As a Customer Support Engineer you will provide products in-service support for the various Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division (GTFSD) sites, but primarily Ansty Park. You'll work closely with customers to monitor system performance and look for product trends that may affect system reliability, as well as frequently interfacing with internal and external customers to present system project status. In this role you'll solve problems of fundamental scope and complexity within GTFSD, by applying product and field-specific engineering skills and general aerospace and related knowledge.

Crucial elements of the role include supporting root cause analysis (RCA) and unit investigations, contributing to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Customer rating improvements, leading product training for Customers and Parker Meggitt employees as needed and supporting contract review (Product Support Agreement) in the frame of new bids. Additionally, you will coordinate Technical Publications workload, prioritise, review and support the (OEM) sites with design changes, from an aftermarket perspective.

Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities
  • Provides Technical Support to Maintenance Repairs and Order (MRO) shops, Tech Pubs team and Service and Support operations (SSO) extended team
  • Perform on regular basis the failure analysis of products in-service in order to anticipate any potential fleet-wide issues
  • Prepare and deliver Product Support and repairs performance metrics required by Customers
  • Manage EIS of new products and thus ensure aftermarket readiness of the different SSO entities
  • Pro-active market presence through field visits in the frame of sales support, conferences, EIS preparation meetings or when specific troubleshooting is required
  • Assistance with contracts preparation and negotiations
  • Warranty Adjudication support
Who we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in defining, designing, developing, maintaining and managing
  • Up to date knowledge and practical understanding of current mechanical maintenance and engineering practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills at all levels
  • A relationship builder with outstanding communication skills and the ability to listen and learn
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally at all skill levels, and at a global level
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet prioritised deadlines
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to have a positive mind set and proactively manage projects and drive the team to achieving team and corporate goals
  • Aerospace Part 21 & Part 145 regulatory knowledge
  • Technical Publications and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness knowledge
