Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Salford, Manchester, M50 2TG
Contract: Commercial HVAC Maintenance
Salary: £18 to £28 per hour

Are you an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer within the facilities sector? Our client, an established FM company, is looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers plenty of opportunities for progression and training. It is a static position working continental shifts.

Main Duties:

1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
2. Perform reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
3. Participate in a call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support to the client.
4. Oversee visiting subcontractors regarding work standards and health and safety compliance.
5. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
6. Complete work-related documentation accurately and on time.
7. Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
8. Conduct daily PPM and reactive maintenance tasks, including UPS systems, plumbing, drainage, boiler room checks, cooling towers, fan coil units, AHUs, fans, and heating pumps.

The Ideal Candidate:

• City & Guilds / NVQ qualified in mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in a commercial environment with good building services knowledge.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems.
