Workshop Facility & Stores Supervisor

Wave Recruitment is proud to be supporting a rapidly growingengineering and innovation company in their search for an experiencedand proactive Workshop Facility & Stores Supervisor.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in ahands-on operational role overseeing the day-to-day running of atechnical workshop and associated stores/logistics, with a strongfocus on safety and inventory control.

About theRole:

You’ll be responsible for the fulloperation of a high-performance technical workshop and test site,ensuring everything from tools to safety protocols is maintained tothe highest standards. The role is crucial to supporting engineeringand prototype build teams, and will suit someone with a background inlow-volume or R&D workshop environments.

KeyResponsibilities:

Workshop & FacilityOperations

• Maintain a safe, tidy, andefficient workshop and test environment
• Manage servicing,calibration, and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Handlefacility improvements, installations, and ongoing maintenance issues
• Conduct weekly safety inspections and ensure rectificationsare actioned
• Manage stock levels, ‘goodsin’ processes, and component release
• Conduct inventory checksand maintain accurate tracking systems
• Oversee packaging,shipping, and receiving of parts and components
• Supportlogistics including collections and waste material handling

Health & Safety Leadership

• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans
• Maintain compliance with H&S and environmental legislation
• Deliver training on workshop safety and emergency procedures
• Carry out internal audits and inspections
• Promote apositive, proactive safety culture

WhatWe’re Looking For:

• 3+ years' experience in a prototype,low-volume, or technical workshop
• Strong understanding ofworkshop tools, machinery, and safety protocols
• Hands-onexperience managing inventory systems and manual handling practices
• Ability to problem-solve and implement improvements
• Excellent organisational and communication skills

Preferred:

• Familiarity withengineering environments (mechanical, electrical, robotics)
• Knowledge of industry standards and procedures
• Competence with inventory software/systems

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate-level qualification or apprenticeship inmechanical, electrical or similar discipline
• UK drivinglicence
• Able to pass BPSS background checks (required forwork in sensitive sectors)
