Management Accountant

Location: Clacton-on-Sea

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a dynamic and fast-paced finance team within a growing UK business. This is a varied and hands-on role covering month-end reporting, treasury, purchasing insights, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee sales and purchase ledger activity and reconcile key accounts.
• Support month-end processes: payroll posting, accruals, prepayments, and FX revaluations.
• Manage the fixed asset register and VAT returns.
• Maintain cash flow forecasts, process payments, and assist with trade loans.
• Provide detailed cost analysis and financial support for purchasing and supplier negotiations.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Support internal controls, audits, and systems development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience across all core accounting functions.
• AAT qualified / part-qualified or equivalent experience.
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables), with experience in Sage or similar systems.
• Clear communicator with excellent organisational skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to analyse data and support business decisions.
• Hands-on, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-moving environment.
