Job Description:

We're exclusively recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor to join a fast-growing firm of chartered accountants in Kent. This is a hybrid position where you can work from home up to 3 days a week and in their Sittingbourne office 2 days a week.

Our client is a fast-growing and ambitious, multi-sited practice with a modern approach to accounting. This role is suited towards an experienced and technically competent Payroll Supervisor. The successful candidate will oversee payroll for a diverse portfolio of clients and support the wider team and Partners. They use BrightPay software and are open to candidates working on a hybrid or remote basis.

  • Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Support the team regarding payroll and benefits processes.
  • Handle queries related to tax, benefits, salary, allowances.
  • Manage P11D’s and Annual Returns.
  • Process CIS Returns, P60s, P45s, start letters, and induction documentation.
  • Act as a mentor and leader to junior team members.
  • Have knowledge of statutory pay claims and processes.
  • Contribute to growing and developing the firm’s payroll offerings.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience leading payroll for a varied client portfolio (150-200 clients).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated with good workload management.
  • Team player, capable of mentoring and collaborating.
  • High standards and motivation.
  • This is a hybrid working position, up to 3-4 days a week.
  • Company pension and generous annual leave.
  • CIPP study support if required.
  • Must be based in Kent for remote or hybrid working.
