Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supports flexible working.

There is a temporary top-up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top-up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum). This will be in place until the 2025/26 pay uplift is confirmed.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Therapist to join the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Specialist Eating Disorders Service.

The service is looking to recruit a highly skilled individual to develop and deliver services addressing the complex physical, psychological, and psychosocial needs of clients and their families, ensuring high-quality service delivery in the region.

Main duties of the job
  • Providing a qualified specialist systemic family therapy service to clients and their families.
  • Consulting with staff of other disciplines on systemic aspects of casework and patient management plans.
  • Evaluating and making decisions about treatment options considering various complex factors.
  • Leading the development of Family Therapy within the service.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and contributing to its activities and development.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally encouraged to apply.

Knowledge

Essential criteria:

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Systemic Family Therapy, aligned with AFT requirements.

Desirable criteria:

  • Clinical supervisor qualification/training/accreditation or relevant experience.

  • Experience in providing specialist systemic family therapy assessments and treatments across various care settings.

  • Ability to reflect critically on own performance and develop new methods of working.
