Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Eating Disorders Clinical Support Worker or Nursing Associate to support the medical monitoring pathway in the Adult Community Eating Disorders Service. You will work with a team including a Psychiatrist, GP and Clinical Nurse Specialist, performing physical health checks, ECGs, bloods and observations in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical monitoring for adults with eating disorders.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow clinical guidelines.
• Proven standard of accurate record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and liaise with service users for medical monitoring appointments.
• Facilitate clinics including taking bloods, ECG tests, and patient observations.
• Report deterioration of physical or mental state to the team promptly.
• Practice within professional guidelines and promote clinical practice.
• Record notes and observations in patient records systems accurately.
• Maintain high standards of verbal and written communication with the team.
• Support multidisciplinary approach and care planning with service users.
• Ensure care reflects individual and cultural needs and promotes wellbeing.
