Job summary

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a qualified Nursing Associate to specialise in inpatient eating disorders at Springfield hospital. This full-time, 12-month fixed-term post starts Sep/Oct 2026 and works under a registered nurse within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide nursing input to young people, participate in assessments, deliver therapeutic support, contribute to care planning, and cover across the ED service as needed.

Responsibilities

To provide nursing care to young people receiving eating disorder treatment at Springfield hospital.
To work collaboratively with the team in the management of eating disorders to the multidisciplinary team
To provide therapeutic eating support to young people, carers and families on nutritional issues relating to mental health.
To contribute to the development of care plans that reflect young people’s needs, working in partnership with the wider MDT and their families.
To work across the ED service and provide cover as necessary depending on service needs
