Job summary

The Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Eating Disorder Nurse to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team across the Fylde Coast. You will lead specialist assessments, monitor physical health, and provide nursing and therapeutic interventions for adults with eating disorders.

Based in Blackpool with duties across Fylde Coast, you will engage in education, clinical supervision, and student support, ensuring high-quality care and robust service development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable post qualifying experience in a related field.
• Evidence of ability to manage own workload autonomously.
• Experience working within a team and/or multi‑agency arenas.

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive assessment of new referrals and participate in team discussions to decide on specialist treatment needs.
• Hold and manage a clinical caseload of clients with complex needs, providing nursing and therapeutic interventions.
• Participate in regular supervision to reflect on practice and develop skills.
• Offer guidance and support to carers and families.
• Develop and evaluate therapeutic groups and provide outcome measures as required.
• Engage in Professional Development Review and planning with line manager.
• Welcome and support students, addressing their educational and experiential needs.
