Job summary

Acorn Training Ltd in South Yorkshire is seeking an experienced assessor/trainer to deliver high-quality Early Years education across various delivery modes. You will support learners through planning, assessment, and tailored learning experiences aligned to sector and awarding requirements.

The role requires delivering coaching, mentoring, and progress tracking, with focus on safeguarding and inclusive learner support, including English, maths and digital skills development.

Qualifications

• Level 5 qualification in subject sector specialist area (essential).
• CAVA certificate or equivalent (essential).
• AET or equivalent (essential).
• GCSEs grade A*-C in English and Maths (essential).
• Full, clean driving licence and access to vehicle (essential).
• BA in subject sector (desirable).
• IQA Level 4 (desirable).
• CET Level 5 (desirable).
• IOSH Health and Safety at Work (desirable).
• First Aid at Work (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, training, coaching and assessment for learners on Early Years programmes.
• Design and deliver learning across delivery models (face-to-face, online, hybrid) to meet sector standards.
• Conduct initial assessments to tailor personalised learning plans for adult learners.
• Plan and sequence training to support progression into Early Years roles.
• Collaborate with employers to develop meaningful training plans and support learner progress.
• Provide information, guidance and support to sustain employment or further learning.
