Job summary

Acorn Training Ltd in Lincolnshire seeks a qualified Trainer/Assessor to manage a caseload of learners, delivering high-quality training in Early Years across face-to-face, online and hybrid formats. You will conduct initial assessments, develop personalised learning plans, and collaborate with employers to ensure meaningful progress and work-ready skills.

The role requires Level 5 in subject sector specialism, CAVA, AET, and English/Maths at GCSE level.

Qualifications

• Level 5 in subject sector specialism (essential).
• Level 3 CAVA or equivalent (essential).
• Level 3 AET or equivalent (essential).
• GCSE English and Maths (A*-C) (essential).
• Full, clean driving licence with vehicle access (essential).
• BA in subject sector (desirable).
• Level 4 IQA (desirable).
• Level 5 CET or CET (desirable).
• IOSH Health and Safety at Work (desirable).
• First Aid at Work (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Manage an agreed caseload of learners with high quality training and assessment.
• Design and deliver learning across delivery models (face-to-face, online, hybrid).
• Conduct initial assessments to inform personalised learning plans.
• Plan sessions and ensure alignment with standards and funding requirements.
• Collaborate with employers to develop training plans and support progression.
• Provide IAG and guidance to sustain employment or further learning.
• Ensure induction for learners and employers, clarifying roles and responsibilities.
• Develop training strategies and resources to support learning progress.
• Record and track learning hours, assessments, and progression.
• Maintain records and uphold safeguarding, Prevent, equality and British values.

Education

Level 5 in subject sector specialism

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)

GCSE English and Maths (A*-C)

Full, clean driving licence and access to vehicle
