Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Team Leader for Early Years based in Hamilton. The role involves leading and motivating an early years team to provide high-quality, child-centred provision for young children and their families.

Strong leadership and partnership working are essential for delivering improved outcomes. Candidates should have substantial experience in early years settings, be registered with SSSC, and meet PVG and overseas checks where required.

Qualifications

• SVQ3 level 3 Childcare & Education, OR
• SVQ Level 3 Children's Care in Education and Learning, OR
• HNC Childcare in Education, OR
• NNEB

Responsibilities

• You will work as an enthusiastic, effective member of an early years team supporting, leading and motivating staff to nurture children and create stimulating learning opportunities that deliver a high quality child centred early years provision which meets the needs of our youngest children and their families.
• You will be an innovative educator who will work in partnership with others to lead and develop the service.
