Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is recruiting an Early Years Team Manager to lead the Early Years Advisory Team and Early Years Inclusion Team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will drive quality improvement, inclusion and statutory SEND support across the borough, guiding strategy and provider support under the Best Start in Life initiative.

Role demands strong leadership, communication and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to reduce inequalities and improve outcomes for the most

Qualifications

• QTS, EYTS or EYPS required.
• In-depth knowledge of EYFS, SEND Code of Practice (2015) and related legislation.
• Proven track record of improving quality of early years provision and outcomes, including SEND across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and vision to the Early Years Advisory Team and Early Years Inclusion Team with a focus on quality improvement, inclusion and sufficiency.
• Develop and implement strategy for needs of children and families.
• Establish and monitor systems to drive improvement and optimise resource use.
• Ensure there are sufficient high-quality early learning and childcare places for eligible children.
• Collaborate with council, partners, voluntary and private sectors to meet shared ambitions.
• Lead the Best Start in Life vision to support providers with high-quality guidance and statutory duties.
