Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is recruiting an Early Years Team Manager to lead the council's Early Years Advisory Team and Early Years Inclusion Team. You will drive quality improvement, inclusion, compliance and SEND support across the borough, ensuring high-quality support for providers and meeting statutory duties.

The role focuses on delivering the Best Start in Life Service, reducing inequalities and working with diverse partners to improve outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• QTS or EYTS or EYPS certification is required.
• In-depth knowledge of EYFS, SEND Code of Practice (2015) and relevant legislation.
• Proven track record of improving quality of early years provision and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Early Years Advisory Team and Early Years Inclusion Team.
• Drive quality improvement, inclusion, compliance and sufficiency of places.
• Collaborate with providers, schools, health partners and others to meet statutory duties.
• Implement the Best Start in Life strategy to reduce inequalities.
