Job summary

St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Banbury is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will support early years practice, help pupils engage with activities led by teachers, and contribute to a safe, caring learning environment.

The role involves safeguarding duties, assisting with personal care where needed, providing feedback on pupil progress, and supporting pupils during visits and school activities in contracted hours.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge and/or experience of the EYFS.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe and comply with safeguarding policies.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Assist with the general pastoral care of pupils, including helping unwell, distressed or unsettled pupils.
• Assist pupils with personal needs as appropriate.
• Provide regular feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement and progress.
• Support pupils during and outside lesson time as required.
