Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Torquay is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join busy nursery settings. You will help create a safe, engaging environment where children learn through play and develop essential skills.

The role offers full-time hours in a practical EY setting, with opportunities for CPD and a competitive hourly rate. Prior EY experience and Level 2/3 qualifications are valued, with Paediatric First Aid desirable.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 EY qualification required/desired.
• Experience in an EY/nursery setting is essential.
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work across different EY rooms and ages.
• Caring and empathetic approach expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in welcoming nursery environments and support learning through play.
• Support children’s confidence, independence and skill development.
• Adapt to different EY rooms and age groups with a flexible approach.

• The ability to work flexibly across different Early Years rooms and age groups
• A caring and empathetic approach
• A flexible and adaptable attitude
