Job summary

The Shaw Education Trust is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join Redhill Primary School in Cannock on a part-time fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. You will support Nursery lunchtime routines, promote independence and positive social interaction, and help ensure wellbeing during lunch.

We value caring, patient staff who can build trusting relationships with young children, support eating and hygiene, and contribute to safeguarding and inclusive practice within our Trust.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience working with young children, preferably within an Early Years setting.
  • Be caring, patient and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for supporting young children.
  • Be able to build positive, trusting relationships with children.

Responsibilities

  • Support nursery lunchtime routines and supervise children.
  • Encourage independence, manners and positive social interaction.
  • Promote wellbeing and safeguarding during lunch period.
