Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to contribute to the growth of our Weymouth nurseries. You will develop educational content, mentor staff and promote excellence across our centres, using the Bee Curious curriculum to foster curiosity and confidence in young learners.

With QTS or equivalent, you’ll lead planning, observation and assessment for key children, supporting families and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading planning and delivery under the EYFS framework.
  • Ability to mentor colleagues and drive curriculum development.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration with families and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and delivery with EYFS knowledge for age-appropriate activities.
  • Observe, assess and plan for key children, ensuring next steps are developmentally appropriate.
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Act as Key Person and support families including SEND/ASL needs.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive environment supporting emotional and social development.

About our Nursery

Weymouth, rated Good by Ofsted, has a capacity of 59 children and is conveniently located on the Land Registry site. Role Responsibilities:

What to expect as an Early Years Teacher

  • Lead the planning and delivery with your expert knowledge of the EYFS framework.of age-appropriate activities in line with the early years curriculum.
  • Take ownership of the observation, assessments and planning for your key children in line with EYFS and provide developmentally challenging next steps.
  • Mentor and guide team members, contributing to curriculum development.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, maintaining b relationships with familie and support parents with any SEND/ASL needs.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that supports children’s emotional and social development.
  • Ensure we encourage and praise children’s development and achievements.
Required Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate

  • Hold QTS, EYTS or EYPS qualification.
  • Extensive experience in an early years setting (ideally as a Nursery Teacher or Early Years Teacher).
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
