Job summary

Busy Bees Wandsworth is seeking an experienced Early Years Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality activities aligned with the EYFS, lead observation and assessments, and support families.

You will mentor teammates, take on Key Person responsibilities, ensure a safe, inclusive environment, and help children learn through play in our welcoming Busy Bees centre with strong community links.

Qualifications

  • QTS / EYTS / EYPS qualification required.
  • Extensive experience in an early years setting preferred.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and delivery with strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Carry out observation, assessment and planning for key children with developmentally appropriate next steps.
  • Mentor and guide team members and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Take on the Key Person role, building relationships with families and supporting SEND/ASL needs.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment that supports emotional and social development.
  • Encourage and celebrate children's development and achievements.

What To Expect As An Early Years Teacher
  • Lead the planning and delivery with your expert knowledge of the EYFS framework.of age-appropriate activities in line with the early years curriculum.
  • Take ownership of the observation, assessments and planning for your key children in line with EYFS and provide developmentally challenging next steps.
  • Mentor and guide team members, contributing to curriculum development.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, maintaining b relationships with familie and support parents with any SEND/ASL needs.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that supports children’s emotional and social development.
  • Ensure we encourage and praise children’s development and achievements.
Ideal Candidate
  • Hold QTS, EYTS or EYPS qualification.
  • Extensive experience in an early years setting (ideally as a Nursery Teacher or Early Years Teacher).
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
