Job Opportunity: Early Years Primary Teachers

New Directions is recruiting for Early Years Primary Teachers in the Barry area for daily and long-term cover within nursery and reception classes. This role is suitable for both NQTs and experienced teachers covering Foundation to KS2.

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Early Years Teacher to create engaging learning environments that help children reach developmental milestones through artistic expression, educational play, and storytelling. The goal is to provide children with foundational life skills and prepare them for the next stage of education.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Creating differentiated learning resources tailored to students' needs.
  2. Planning organized lessons that encourage student participation.
  3. Maintaining a positive classroom environment, managing behaviour, ensuring safety, and promoting learning.
  4. Assessing student progress through marking, monitoring, and providing feedback.
  5. Utilizing technology effectively in the classroom, including interactive whiteboards and educational apps.
  6. Staying updated with curriculum developments.
  7. Participating in school events and activities, which may occur during weekends or evenings.
  8. Collaborating with colleagues and working flexibly, especially in smaller schools.
