Job summary

Academics Ltd in High Wycombe is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join the EYFS team. Start dates available in November 2026 or January 2027 for the right candidate, with a full-time contract.

The successful applicant will deliver engaging EYFS lessons, foster a nurturing, creative environment, monitor progress, and work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and the school community to support children's first year of formal education.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience in Early Years, preferably Reception.
• Strong passion for EYFS and early childhood development.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Provide creative and enriching learning opportunities to support children's development.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support learning.
• Support children's transition into Reception and prepare them for Key Stage 1.
• Promote high expectations, independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching in Early Years, ideally within a Reception setting.
• Is passionate about EYFS and early childhood development.
• Has a nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Is organised, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
• Demonstrates strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Is committed to raising standards and providing high-quality learning experiences for all children.
