Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton to support a pupil with SEN on a 1:1 basis and assist in planning engaging activities. You will work with the class teacher, SENCO and other staff to promote positive behaviour, social development and effective learning strategies, with ongoing training offered.

Relevant Level 2/3 TA qualifications are desirable but not essential; patience, empathy and clear communication are essential to help the child

Qualifications

Experience working with children in a school setting.
Understanding of SEN/additional needs.
Patience, empathy and excellent communication.
Positive, proactive approach to supporting learning.
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.
