Job summary

East Dunbartonshire Council's Auchinairn Early Years Centre is seeking a supportive team member to help deliver high-quality early years experiences for children and families. The role requires assisting Early Years Workers to provide appropriate activities within local curriculum guidance and care standards, in a safe, inclusive environment.

The post is part-time (6 hours daily, Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm) and temporary until July 2027.

Qualifications

• Willing to undertake the SVQ3 Social Services (Children and Young People) qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of high quality early years services for children and families.
• Assist Early Years Workers to provide learning opportunities suitable for age and stage of development within curriculum guidance and care standards.
• Support children with additional support needs to overcome barriers to learning.
• Maintain a safe, caring, stimulating and inclusive environment for parents and families.
• Handle confidential information with due regard to privacy.
