North Ayrshire Council is offering temporary placements for Early Years Support Assistants. These positions involve supporting children in Early Years establishments, with candidates required to complete a six-week training course. Eligible candidates must be residents of North Ayrshire and aged between 20 to 24 years.
Temporary for 12 months. Interviews will be held on 21st July 2025.
We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.
North Ayrshire Council is offering temporary one-year placements for Early Years Support Assistants within our Early Years team. These roles will be based in Early Years establishments across North Ayrshire and will be paid at the Real Living Wage for 30 hours per week.

Pre-Employment Training: All successful candidates will be required to complete a six-week Pre-Employment course delivered by Ayrshire College, starting on 28th August 2025. Training will take place two days per week, from 10am to 2pm. Upon successful completion, candidates will commence their placement within an Early Years setting.
